Fattoria di Vaira Vincenzo Rosso 2020
Produced in Molise on one of the largest biodynamic farms in Italy, where they also grow vegetables and cereals, while also producing cheeses, olive oil and honey. However, due to their diligent work to restore the soils, they've rapidly gained a reputation as winemakers. Their red is a wine with a rustic-leaning, unpolished quality that works on the table in just about any situation. It's half native Montepulciano and half international varietals Cabernet Sauvignon & Merlot; the obvious comparison would be to something from Abruzzo - cherry and plum, but with a light extraction ensuring a certain freshness prevails.
Montepulciano (50%), Cabernet Sauvignon (25%), Merlot (25%)
