Domaine de la Plaigne Beaujolais-Villages 2017
Domaine de la Plaigne has been owned and run by Gilles and Cécile Roux since 1991, as the 5th generation to express their winemaking passions on the estate. Following the footsteps of their parents, Gilles and Cecile have, over the years, purchased additional parcels which now comprise 15 hectares across Beaujolais-Villages, Régnié, Moulin-a-Vent and Morgon. Now joined by their son, Victorien, they work mainly with Gamay, except for one small parcel of Chardonnay.
Harvested by hand, and working without a hint of oak, their Beaujolais Villages is a pure and bright expression of cherry and red berries with a lightness that keeps it fresh sip after sip. Simple and joyful in true Beaujolais fashion.
