A Los Viñateros Bravos Pipeño Blanco 2020
Itata, located in the southern Chile has a climate influenced by the Pacific Ocean with 700-1000mm of rain per year. The nearly 70 year old bush vines are high on a hill with granitic soils that are very sandy with large quartz deposits
This wine embodies Itata’s Pipeño tradition, which is to say that it’s a farm wine meant to be consumed young & fresh. Using predominantly Moscatel but also other grapes such as Corinto and Semillon, from dry-farmed, own-rooted, ancient vineyards, and co-fermented with native yeasts. Unfiltered because it’s made for drinking right after harvest, they are appropriately put in liter bottles to quench thirsty palates, while still having enough to share.
