Jean-Yves Peron i Vicini Moscato 2017
Clinging to the steep slopes of the Savoie with a selection of tiny old parcels amounting to around 1.5 hectares, Jean-Yves Peron having spent a few years studying oenology in Bordeaux and working with winemakers across France, returned to his home of Savoie in 2004. He obtained a negociant license in 2011 which has allowed him to work closely with other growers in the Savoie as well as a couple of growers on the other side of the Alps in Italy. His Moscato is one such wine that was sourced through that method. Whole bunches macerated for two weeks make for an intensely aromatic wine that in noticeably lighter on the palate than the majority of his wines.
