Alfredo Maestro Almate 2019
Working out of Ribero Del Duero (preferring not to participate in the D.O) Alfredo has been making wines without the additions of sulphites since 2003, having been using conventional methods in the cellars til then, but farming organically since the late 90's. He has since been searching all over the region for neglected and abandoned vineyards that he can convert to organic farming. Made using a 75/25 blend of old and young vine Tempranillo respectively, and aging in old French oak for 4 months, this is a red that is rich in fruit on the nose, but is soft on the palate with an underlying ripeness.
